On Tuesday the 13th of October I attended a meeting of the Municipality of Barrington's Council meeting and I recorded the following parts of that meeting.
1. Presentation by Attorney C. Nickerson on the Municipal Government Act, SWSDA and YAIC (5m)
2. Intervention from the audience. (800kb)
3. Council consideration of a request from SWSDA for a comfort and support letter to Minister Paris for a loan guarantee of $500,000 and disposal of the $1.75 million mortgage SWSDA now holds on the former Shelburne Naval Base. (2.5 m)

Clean out the councillors,warden/ mayor ..... all who are neglecting their positions !!!!
Hopefully younger and older people are learning from these mistakes made.... with poor use of power.....
shown in these past land dealings that involved many elected to represent citizens.....
What a mess !!!

A really good "CON" man can get even the most honest person to do something he would not normally do.
AN HONEST PERSON WOULD HAVE THE GUTS TO STAND UP AND LET EVERY BOARD MEMBER KNOW HOW THEY FELT ABOUT THE WHOLE DIRTY MESS THAT HAS BEEN CREATED OVER THE PAST FOURTEEN YEARS WITH FRANK AT THE HELM AND YAIC IN HIS SHADOW.

Will ignorance of the MGA allow our councils to plead innocent in a court of law if they are charged with failure to abide by this Act - NOT! Little wonder they were checking out their liability insurance coverage - YAIC board members included. Seems we have all erred in voting for the most incompetent rather than the most able local pols.
Time has allowed us to see who the actual snakes in suits are, but we don't have the luxury of watching another decade of the same old MO of secrecy within our councils!

Check out the new "Yarmouth County Today" website with news on a request to SWSDA from a citizen of Yarmouth. There's a link to his website for some interesting Y'mouth council audios, etc. The CJLS station mgr. must be BFF with the SWSDA/YAIC mafia - wondered why we hadn't heard any interviews with Frank or his cronies.
Old and new SWSDA/YAIC board members had better check their bank accounts as it sounds like they are going to have to dig deep into their pockets on this one - they've learned they won't be covered by their liability insurance...
NO WAY WILL THE TAXPAYERS BAIL ANY OF THEM OUT ON THIS ONE - THEY NEGLECTED THEIR FIDUCIARY DUTIES AND DECIDED TO BURY THEIR HEADS IN THE SAND INSTEAD OF PUTTING A STOP TO THIS FARCE YEARS AGO.
We're wondering what side of the county line Warden Halliday is on these days. We never quite know what she has up her sleeve - perhaps "...keeping your enemy closer" is in play? If she remembers that honesty is the best policy when dealing with Frank she and her councillors may regain some credibility but until then we will be keeping a close eye on them as events unfold. Kudos to Councillor Hatfield - he puts them all to shame.
