Although our comments may get sidetracked from the RDA topic, this has been an educational blogspot for many. It gives hope of disbanding the Society that was created to assist this county, but resulted in creating more problems than we dreamt were possible. It is such a tangled web I hope it doesn't take another decade to untangle it. Anyone got a crystal ball? Thanks for your patience Ed!

Congrats on your successful blogspot. One of the reasons for it's success is it allows folks to vent their frustrations. In a small town without "normal" media coverage this and SCT have been our only source for info on what is actually happening in the councils and SWSDA. Reading minutes doesn't tell the whole story... Our pols will think twice before making further blunders in suspect land deals and their current MO of oversight of SWSDA. Thanks!

Considering the Brits recently got rid of some pols for abuse of expense accounts and we learn "A sweeping review has been ordered to root out any spending abuses at Ontario government agencies..." (M.Babbage CP/1 Sep 09)what's the hold-up on the audit of SWSDA? An audit of the gov books has been completed and considering Belliveau and Dexter made the audit of SWSDA a campaign pledge are we witnessing some backtracking from the NDP?

Now's the time to begin questioning our MLA about that promised audit! It was great that he and Paris met with our local reps and it's time to get down to business now that the honeymoon period has ended. I don't remember Sterling being very vocal during his first stint so we'll see just what he's made of this time. Our MLA has a full plate with two portfolios but it would be great to have him prepare a monthly column for the Coast Guard to keep us up-to-speed on what he's doing in regards to development in Shelburne County. It wouldn't have to be chatty as all we're interested in are the facts. - S. Fry

S. Fry it would be great to have the Coastguard paper publish Shelburne items. They that avertisement in papers brings in more money than circulation1 Go figure!!!
