Before I left for Montreal on Sunday ....

I told you dear reader that I would tell you a bit ....about the Boys School Finances..... Here it is...!!

Over the past couple of years SWSDA has generated financial reports about the Boys School, maintenance costs and revenues from the sale of its 21 buildings, 200 some acres of land and twenty acres of serviced and paved facilities for $550,000 to Ralston MacDonnell.... you know.... the Digby Pier Guy.... watch the time line and diminishing amount of money left over according to SWSDA and Mr. Anderson.

Here is a summary of revenues and expenses (which equal the Team Shelburne Fund) attached to Mr. Anderson’s June 19, 2007 letter to Brian Holland entitled Shelburne Youth Centre Project Income Summary April 1, 2005 to May 31, 2007” that shows:

Figures like these certainly show the need for an audit. An audit done by someone who sees the need to know if a fraud have been commited.

After all SWSDA was not supposed to own property in the first place, (reference to the Municipal Governance Act, shown earlier in this blog.)

And if they were acting as an agent for Team Shelburne, they were doing so against what The Real Estate Trading Act says. That is, only a licensed real estate broker, a bank or an attorney can sell real property for someone else.

I stumbled across this "blog" quite by accident. I've read through a fair bit of your writing, well, suffered through it would be more accurate. I have to ask, what IS your actual issue with Mr. Anderson and RDAs? You obviously have a personal beef with Frank Anderson and SWSDA. Every comment with regards to this organization and other RDAs are absolutely dripping with vitriol and an obvious personal grudge. There is absolutely no objectivity in your writings at all and it really makes for some very difficult reading.

I believe in the accountability of organizations such as these. I believe that they should have to account for how they spend public monies within reason. I don't believe that you should be able to find out how much their employees make on an individual basis, I think they, as individuals, have a right to privacy. Their salary figures as a whole? Sure.

I don't expect you are going to publish this comment as it is not "relevant to the objective of this blog" which appears to be an acrimonious outlet for some class of personal grievance.

Anon 10:20, "...account for how they spend public monies WITHIN REASON."
It boggles the mind that there are still deniers of our dysfunctional RDA. Putting all prejudice aside, how can you support a public body misusing public funding as is witnessed with the facts you have been presented with. The days of patronage have ended in N.S. and it is time to pick up the pieces and move on. I predict the demise of SWSDA as we know it, and separate RDAs formed for Shelburne Co.; and Yarmouth/Clare. Cheers!
