This is when I wish I had mastered the French language - just got the gist of the report. Great to know that word of the Ombudsman delving into this pseudo RDA is getting attention in all quarters. It appears that things are beginning to move in the right direction these days...

If this land deal is a recent one, Barrington Council should have known better. Frank has his agenda and it doesn't include Shelb. Co. It's time taxpayers of the area begin taking an interest in what the Warden and her councillors are wasting their tax dollars on.

Hmmm, if funding for MoB doesn't fit the criteria nothing does. Their county lost 2 MAJOR employers plus their share of the money from the sale of the lands, and to cap that the lobster industry is on the skids - duh! Surely Paris didn't take Conrad and Thompson's advice when he reviewed Murray Scott's original thumbs down. If the NDP fail to do some major ERD housecleaning it's going to be more of the same old. Forget the cordial letter writing and demand that Paris pay a visit to Shelburne County YESTERDAY!
BTW, is Sterling too busy appeasing Hurlbut and his anti-minkers and forgotten his and his leader's campaign promise of an audit? We haven't.

The Coast Guard does not do a good job of reporting. Who bought this land ? Who is building a mink farm ? Where did they get the money to build a mink farm ? Where is the web site Shelburne County today, they used to ask questions and report the answers ? Someone ask someone who will answer.

I went to the Barrington Municipal web site and read the minutes. It is hard to believe that they do not know much about a mink farm being built in their back yard. GOOD GREEF

ANOTHER more active GROUP SHOULD COMPETE WITH OUR LOCAL PAPER....GOOD REPORTING WOULD EITHER ENCOURAGE COAST GUARD FOLKS TO IMPROVE OR FOLD.....Time they woke up to what is happening !

Money is easily gotten by some to start new businesses......

Are the active workers who were trying to get to truth of actions of many people who hurt our economic growth in this neglected area....giving in to the ones who are still finding excuses to cover their criminal activities?
Someone took first name on sign to heart it appears.....Guilty conscience of many....HA!
You ,with facts, please keep up great prodding.

MoB operated in an underhanded manner and got caught in regards to SWSDA/YAIC and the Clyde land deal/mink farm. This most recent disclosure of MoB dealings with Frank/YAIC shows what happens when decisions are made in secretive meetings. Nothing good ever results if Frank Anderson is involved. Reminds us of the Paulette, Pat and Frank saga. We notice that Hurlburt isn't in the story yet or whether YarCo has any involvement. Carry on gang - bada, bada, bing - ya gotta love that Corenet training. Looking forward to Mr. Gillespie's investigative report.

Uh oh - was Sterling involved in the 2005 closed door meeting when the MoB discussed approval of selling the land to SWSDA and the terms attached to the sale? We're in for lotsa pro SWSDA rhetoric from Louise to explain this one away. No wonder Eddie Nickerson wouldn't sign the petition for an audit of SWSDA.

I found an interesting MoB Committee of The Whole Council Meeting 20 Mar 2006 during which Aaron and Leroy Quinlan addressed this land sale and Frank's involvement; seems Frank left a bad taste in their mouths back then. Too bad MoB hadn't taken heed. Whoa,I can imagine what rocks Timothy will be turning over to get to the bottom of this one. MDS isn't the only council with skeletons in their closet. Cheers!

Just found SCT's latest on MoB - thanks Timothy, it was worth the wait.
Yes, those darn Shelburne fellows stirring up trouble for MoB - LOL. Seems they don't need any help stirring up trouble if they're in bed with SWSDA/YAIC. This is all the more reason to go with an Eastern Shelb. Co RDA. It is unreal they didn't learn a thing from the misdeeds of Pat, Paulette and Raymond and how that kneecapped our Municipal council for years! How is Belliveau going to handle this one - it will be very telling of what we can expect from Paris and the promised audit.

Stupid is as stupid does, so MoB following in MDS footsteps says it all. Why do local pols go brain dead on land sales? Seems those Global Corenet seminars taught attendees how to pull the wool over the eyes of naive, small town pols.
As for Mr. Halliday, leave our favourite reporter and his friends alone or we'll ensure you enjoy a quick dip off the marina on your next trip in to escape the fog - LOL! At least our water is warmer in here...

This must be why Lulu consulted with the municipal lawyer on liability insurance. We hope he told her it doesn't cover neglect of fiduciary duties. Why should we pay for council's stupidity? What a mess they've gotten us in now.

Frank and rodent have such similarities !!!!!!!!!

Picture and defintion will enlighten some of his buddies if their pics are compared to poor weasel.

FAB WAY TO HELP THEM THINK with honest intentions FOR A CHANGE....OR WHAT NEXT ????

C.H. reports a 2006 repayable loan (950K) to SWSDA. What is the status of the loan today?

What happened at the MOB meeting last night? We thought CBC Radio would cover Frank's newest scam LOL. No wonder Paris cancelled his Shelburne trip but that's no excuse for Belliveau not to show up. The last we heard he was still our MLA or has he jumped ship already? We're laughing at Alan these days. He's relieved the spotlight is off him with this mink scam going on. We haven't forgotten you Alan! We also think DD should give the ERD portfolio to Becky Kent - she knows the ropes around ERD and wouldn't back down from meeting the Concerned Citizens Committee!

Thanks to SCT for updating us on the MoB meeting! Power to the people of Clyde River. Finally we have a committee that is fighting muni hall and aren't going to take it anymore.
I'm not against mink farming but these wholesale land deals stink more than any mink farm would.
MoB have their hands full with their local developer and his well water and oil contamination disputes - and we thought we had trouble in MDS.
Imagine Anderson and Hurlburt are burning up the lines today in regards to the removal of their Black Gold Slush Fund. Is the Orange Tide finally giving us a taste of things to come?

Bennett has an article online by Carla Allen on last night's MOB meeting re YAIS (sic).
Mr. Brannen speaking for the group of citizens from Clyde River said they couldn't connect the dots on the MoB/SWSDA land deal. Those dots were intentionally made to run a crooked road never to be connected. That is exactly why a forensic audit of this RDA is required YESTERDAY! Until this audit is done you can yell until you're blue in the face, but only the audit will reveal what has gone on within the ranks of SWSDA/YAIC over the years.

Wow! Thanks to the Clyde River residents who spoke out on the land deal - SWSDA is toast. Mr. Leroy Quinlan will be remembered as the wise man who knew a con artist when he saw one.
